Swearing Away
I'm Catholic so that means I'm supposed to give something up during Lent, which started today. For the last few years I've given up cash for every swear word that's flown out of my mouth during Lent. Originally it was going to be a quarter for each swear. That quickly changed to a dime that first year otherwise I would've given up my paycheck for the month. Still, I managed to get $20. Last year I came out with close to $25. This year's not lookin' too good. The first word out of my mouth as I woke up to that obnoxious alarm clock was a swear word. Great way to start the day and the Lenten season.

I decided to give up sugar this year. It's only been one day, and already, I'm craving chocolate.
This is going to be the hardest Lent ever...
If I was a really good Catholic I'd give up diet soda, but that's a little too much for me this year. And giving up all sugar would probably be too much for my willpower as well. I've settled on giving up chocolate. And before you think that's not much, it's 90% of my sugar consumption.
So we'll all suffer! Tell you what, ladies. I'll eat the chocolate and you swear for me since you can't eat the chocolate!
My Dad used to have a cuss box my sister gave him when we were little. She made a fortune off him. Each word had a different value too.
I Love that idea. You've got a deal!
