14 pages since Thursday! To some of you it may not seem like much, but I've also been visiting with the niece and nephew and reading Suz Brockmann. So I'm EXTREMELY happy with my progress! Plus, I sketched out the next chapter (yeah, I gave myself permission NOT to write chronologically and now I'm doing it!) and the characters are steering me in a direction I hadn't thought about for this early in the story, but I'm excited to see where it goes.
My Austin RWA chapter has had some awesome news lately. Heather Foeh and Michelle McGinnis got picked to do a workshop at Nationals about setting up a web presence. They previewed the presentation for us and it was awesome. Also, Emily McKay and Robyn DeHart are presenting a workshop called Bigger than Botox (about revisions) and one with Pam Morsi called Writing in the Pressure Cooker. Then, Sherry Thomas (whose first book comes out in March) got a starred review from Publisher's Weekly. Also, Tracy Wolff received a 2-book contract from NAL and Robyn got a 3 book contract from Grand Central. Last, but certainly not least, Kit Frazier was in Southern Living Magazine as one of the Writing Stars of Texas! Woohoo, ladies! Congrats all around! I'm so thrilled to be a part of this splendid organization!
Update 8:50: 20 total pages for the weekend at this point! I'm following my hero and it's turning out to be quite a tense, action-packed ride so far!
Update 11:35: I had to take a break to watch Medium, but then I got back to work. Three more pages, some new ideas and a killer place to start tomorrow. What could be better?

Woot! Way to go on the 14 pages and to all in your organization!
Thank you for the kind words, my dear! We're very excited!!
That is fantastic! I was hoping to get chapter two done before I left, but since I haven't even started it, maybe not. LOL
Teri
Yeah Lexi-- Way to rock the weekend!
Heather, you should be excited! I only wish I was going to be there.
As always, Teri, we do what we can.
Thanks, Cat! And now they're talking about an ice day (off from school) tomorrow. That would be AWESOME for my manuscript and me!
