Gettin' To Work
OMG! I'm so excited about this new manuscript! It is going to be AWESOME! I just have to find the time to work on it. But I'm taking an online class through Celtic Hearts and the instructor (Lori Wilde) is excellent at motivating us. Today I'm putting this out here for everyone to see, to hold me accountable. With the new year comes a new strategy for my writing. I've plotted a lot of my story already, gotten to know the hero and heroine quite a bit and I'm pretty sure I know who the villain is. So in 5 weeks, on Tuesday, February 12th, I will have the rough draft of this novel done. It's a tall order, but one I'm excited to complete. I'm hoping to learn a lot more about my writing process and my strengths during this time. In addition to this rough draft, I also intend to critique for my friend Jenna, take care of myself and get some exercise, take time to be a reader too and also deal with the craziness of the day job. I'm working on a schedule. Like I said, it's all a big commitment, but I think the Lexi Connor of 2008 is ready for it!

Thanks, Cat! I just wish I had a chunk of hours each day to work on it. Yes, I know I just came off Christmas vacation, but I want more time to devote to my first love!
