Rollin' Along

I'm making slow progress on Danger's revisions. I'm just not ready to update the progress meter yet. But keep checkin' back! I think I'm on a roll, though, and I'm so excited about BOTH my stories right now. I put in a request to take next Monday off as a personal day so I can spend a whole 3-day weekend doing nothing but revisions...and some exercising, of course!

Got another rejection today from an agent I'd love to work with, but it was a GREAT rejection! She actually said she's not as familiar with Intrigue as she'd need to be to make a decision about my manuscript, BUT THEN she gave me the name of another agent and told me I could use her name when querying the new agent! As far as rejections go, that's been one of my best!

A referral, that's awesome :-) Was that other agent already on your query list, may I ask?

Fingers crossed, and have a lovely day! :-)

That's great news! An agent's got to take notice when a colleague recommends you. Good luck!

Thanks, Tez! No, the 2nd agent was not on my list. So that was great because I get to learn about someone else.

Thanks, Avery. Of course, I still have to WOW her on my own, but a recommendation is a start.

Lexi, thanks for posting your great news on my blog because I'm so busy today I might not have made it here otherwise. Congratulations on the agent referral! I've had that happen before. It didn't result in an offer for representation from the referee agent, but she definitely took notice that her colleague gave me the referral. Agents dont' give referrals lightly, so this is a GREAT thing.

Also, excellent plan for the 3 day weekend and your revisions.

That's the best rejection story I've heard! Congrats!
