Online Danger
I broke down and ordered books from Amazon for the first time ever. I don't do much online shopping, but I wanted to buy something so I could start posting my book reviews on the site. But I got a little carried away. What started out as buying only an inexpensive "short" by Laura Griffin soon became a much more expensive outing. I bought The Trouble With Paradise by Jill Shalvis, Rivals For the Crown by Kathleen Givens, and 3 Suzanne Brockmann books- No Ordinary Man, Forbidden, and Freedom's Price. I had a couple more on the list, but they were by new-to-me authors and I figured I'd be better off getting the books I KNOW I'll love. I just hope Amazon doesn't become my newest best friend. My bank account couldn't take that kind of abuse!

online shopping is addictive because its all there and feels like they're screaming "buy me!"
Very true!
I am a HUGE fan of online shopping, but I also know how not to abuse (or be abused by) it. *:?) With two young children, anything I can do from home in my jammies at midnight is a good thing. Which is probably why I like writing so much. LOL!
But I also love getting things in the mail. I'm not even sure why -- I guess it's like Christmas, or a birthday, even when I know what's in the box. New stuff -- new stuff to read -- YUM!
Kerry, that makes sense. And yes, when I got home tonight the box was waiting at the door and I got all giddy!
Lexi, I do nearly ALL my book buying on-line now. It's horrible. I keep a notepad on my desk of books to buy, and I swear I have to order at least 4 books at a time. Amazon loves me.
Cindy, I had one or two books on the list and then I saw the notice that f I spent more than $25 I'd have free shipping and handling. Naturally, I just HAD to add a couple more books so I could get my free S & H! But I like the actual store experience too much to only shop online, I think.
