The Good, The Bad And The Ugly

The Good:
My Patriots won and are now 5-0 on the season! My Red Sox won and will move on to the American League Championship Series on Friday in Boston. I FINISHED the rough draft of my current manuscript, TCAFS! I cannot wait to get started on the revisions, but I'm going to give myself a few days off to relax, celebrate my birthday, and read a little. Then I'll jump back into the fire and start cooking my masterpiece.

The Bad: More family medical drama. This time it's a heart issue and it's with someone very important to me. She's in good shape otherwise and the doctors are confident everything will
go well with the procedures they'll be doing, but still it's scary and sends me into crying jags at the oddest moments. At least I have my writing, which has always been a comfort for me through the most difficult and horrific events in my life.

The Ugly: The New York Yankees won last night. I can't stand the Yankees. Hey, what can I say? I'm a New Englander at heart! Also, I only have 4 people in my contest for another Scottish surprise! Come on, you know you want to enter. Leave me a comment, stick Scotland in there somewhere and that's it. You have until midnight tonight! Don't miss out.

WooHoo! Finished! Isn't it an awesome feeling to finish a mss? Congrats.

The only sport that really interests me is college football. Seems like when the guys get paid millions, all the fun is sucked right out of it. My Tennessee Vols won, so I'm a happy camper.

You'd think with as much as I love *Scotland* that golf would be on my list of sports. Not so. LOL I do have a friend who has a college scholarship to play golf, so I have to cheer for him. :)

I'm sorry about the continuation of family medical dramas. I know it has to be stressful for you. I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts an prayers.

And you mentioned a birthday. When is it? :)

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers, Nita. We'll take them.

Golf should be banned from everywhere.

Tomorrow I hit 36.

Thanks, Bonnie! I figure if I'm writing Scottish stories, I love all things Scottish, and I had some stuff still from the trip, why not have a contest? Thanks for entering.

Crystal, I'm happy you found the blog! Scotland is my happy place (I'd move there in a heartbeat) and my manuscripts are set in Scotland. I went this past summer, so if you want to see some of my pictures, feel free to browse through the archives from June or July. (Isn't that terrible? I can't remember which month!)

Just let me know if you ever move there girl..I'll be sitting right next to you!! Now that I know your writing Scottish style, you better hurry up and get published! I have family members that originated from Scotland/Ireland and I found out just this summer that we come from a Sept under the MacLeods at Dunvegan. I was researching Rory Mor of the clan MacLeods. I did some checking and background research to make sure and now the kids and I are official members of the MacWilliam Sept. My kiddos think it's the coolest thing! I'd love to go but I don't have an arm and leg to spare to pay my way just yet..
